We have received notification from Universal Property and Casualty that there will be an upcoming rate increase of 14%. Policy holders should contact us immediately. If you want service with UPC contact us before the rate change goes into effect.

FLORIDA DWELLING FIRE PROGRAM- RATE REVISION

A filed rate revision has been approved for Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company (UPCIC) Florida Dwelling Fire Program.

This rate revision applies to DP-1, DP-2, and DP-3 policy forms and will take effect on 4/17/2023 for New Business and 6/03/2023 for Renewal Business. The estimated impact of all changes is a statewide average rate increase* of 14.7%.

Any quotes that existed in the system prior to today’s announcement will be honored at the current rates through 4/21/2022. Any new quotes must be bound and made effective prior to 4/17/2022 in order to be subject to the current rates.

*Please note that although the overall state average is an increase of 14.7%, some territories may experience a higher increase, decrease, or no change in rate.
